The auction, held in Mumbai on Saturday, also saw another uncapped Indian player Vrinda Dinesh (batter), gaining attention as she became the second most expensive buy. Dinesh, who recently featured for India A against England A, showcased her skills, making her a sought-after prospect in the WPL.
All 30 available slots, including nine for overseas players, were successfully filled, indicating the high level of interest and competition for talent in women’s cricket.
