History will be made on Saturday (March 4) when the inaugural edition of Women’s Premier League (WPL) begins in Navi Mumbai.

After years of wait and planning, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was able to pull off their long-lived dream, which is a T20 franchise-based tournament for women on the lines of most popular men’s competition, Indian Premier League.

The five teams, namely Mumbai Indians (MI), Gujarat Giants (GG), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC) and UP Warriorz (WPW) will cross swords for the coveted trophy.

The WPL 2023 final will be played on March 26 in Mumbai.

Ahead of the start of the first WPL season, let’s have a look at what could be the best starting XI of the five teams.

  • Delhi Capitals:
