In a thrilling encounter at Bellerive Oval, Hobart Hurricanes showcased a dominant performance against Melbourne Renegades, securing victory by a substantial margin of 93 runs.

Hobart Hurricanes Innings

Hobart Hurricanes started their innings with a bang, posting an imposing total of 212/3 in their allotted 20 overs. The standout performer was Lizelle Lee, who played a scintillating knock of 101 runs off 53 balls, featuring 12 fours and 4 sixes. Heather Graham also contributed significantly with a blazing 55 off 28 deliveries.

Melbourne Renegades bowlers had a challenging time containing the Hurricanes’ batters. Georgia Wareham managed to pick up 2 wickets, while Georgia Prestwidge claimed one wicket.

In pursuit of a daunting target, Melbourne Renegades faced a formidable Hobart Hurricanes bowling attack. The Renegades struggled to build partnerships, ultimately getting bowled out for 119 runs in 16.2 overs.

Emma de Broughe emerged as the top scorer for Melbourne Renegades with a brisk 40 off 19 balls. However, the wily bowling attack of Hobart Hurricanes, led by Maisy Gibson and Amy Smith, proved too much for the Renegades. Gibson was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 crucial wickets.
