The inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will kick-start on March 4 in Mumbai.
The DY Patil Stadium will host the tournament opener between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants. The summit clash is scheduled on March 26 at the Brabourne Stadium.
Ahead of the start of the tournament, all five teams participating have unveiled their jerseys.
Here are the details regarding the jerseys of WPL 2023 teams:
UP Warriorz
The prominent colour of the jersey is yellow, with a dark shade of purple highlighting the sleeves.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
The Bangalore-based franchise has used red and black colours for women’s apparel. RCB got on board sponsors like Dream11 and Puma for the jersey.
Mumbai Indians
MI’s WPL team jersey is inspired by the coral hues of the setting sun across the bay’s blue sky. The gold ray graphics across the waistline reflect the powerful energy of the sun’s rays.
Gujarat Giants
The Ahmedabad-based franchise has designed its jersey in Orange colour while the bottom of the jersey is printed with dots to avoid a plain design.
A lioness found in their logo is also seen roaring from the right side of the abdomen area.
Delhi Capitals
DC’s women’s team jersey has a red and blue combination, much like their men’s team jersey in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The front portion of the jersey has the face of a tiger from the Capitals’ logo with the team crest on the left side.
