The inaugural Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is all set to start in South Africa on January 14, with 41 matches to be played before the final on January 29. Eleven Full-Member nations have gained automatic entry to the 20-over showpiece event namely: Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Similarly, the remaining five spots were filled by one team from each of the ICC’s five regions through regional Qualifier tournaments. These teams are UAE (Asia), Rwanda (Africa), Scotland (Europe), Indonesia (EAP), and the USA.

The 16 teams are divided into groups of four. Group A features Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and USA, while Group B has England, Pakistan, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Similarly, Group C consist of Indonesia, Ireland, New Zealand and West Indies and Group D has India, Scotland, South Africa and the UAE.
