It is set to make its on-field debut during the India-West Indies women’s bilateral series, commencing December 22. The men’s team will don the new jersey during the ICC Champions Trophy early next year, adding an extra layer of anticipation for the iconic tournament.

In a video shared on BCCI’s Twitter handle, Harmanpreet expressed her enthusiasm. “It’s an honour to unveil the jersey today. I’m really happy that we’re the first to wear this jersey against the West Indies team. It looks beautiful, and it’s exciting to have a special ODI jersey,” she said with pride.

Packed cricketing calendar for the Women in Blue

Team India’s calendar is packed with action as they gear up to host West Indies and Ireland in limited-overs series. Beginning December 15, India will play three ODIs and three T20Is against West Indies at Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. Following this, the women’s team will compete against Ireland in a three-match ODI series in Rajkot in January.
