Hobart Hurricanes cautious start against Sydney Thunders

In the match so far, Thunder won the toss and opted to field first, aiming to capitalize on any early movement and moisture in the pitch. The Hurricanes began their innings cautiously, reaching 64/2 after 10 overs, with Nicola Carey and captain Elyse Villani at the crease, both intent on establishing a solid foundation. Meanwhile opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge departed after scoring 18 runs.  The Thunder’s bowlers, particularly the experienced duo of Shabnim Ismail and Samantha Bates, aimed to build on the pressure created by the first two wicket and restrict the Hurricanes’ scoring potential.
