With the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 just three weeks away, fans have a chance to witness world-class cricket at an unprecedented price. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed that ticket prices for all round-robin matches in the first phase of the tournament will be set at a record low. This grassroots-friendly pricing is aimed at filling stadiums across India and showcasing the growing popularity of women’s cricket on home soil.

Record-low pricing for league matches in first phase of ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025

In a statement on Thursday, the ICC emphasized that the ₹100 ticket price (approximately USD 1.14) sets “a new benchmark in accessibility for any ICC global event.” With league matches scheduled in Indore, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, and Mumbai, the governing body is banking on packed stands to underline the importance of women’s cricket and inspire young fans nationwide.

The first phase of the tournament, spanning round-robin fixtures, kicks off with India facing Sri Lanka in Guwahati on September 30. Originally slated for Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the opener was shifted to Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati after the Karnataka State Cricket Association was unable to secure state government clearance. Meanwhile, Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium has been added to the list of venues, ensuring matches are played across diverse cricket hubs.

Tickets went live at 7:00 PM IST on Thursday via the dedicated portal Tickets.cricketworldcup.com. Google Pay users enjoyed an exclusive four-day pre-sale window until 7:00 PM on Monday, September 8. Beyond this, general sales for the first-phase matches remain open exclusively to GPay customers, reinforcing the partnership between digital payment platforms and sports ticketing.

Fans eager to secure their seats can visit Tickets.cricketworldcup.com during the second sales phase, which opens at 8:00 PM IST on Tuesday, September 9. While the first phase focuses on league matches, supporters can register interest for the second phase to guarantee their spots for later fixtures. This phased approach allows the ICC to manage demand effectively and ensure optimal stadium capacity throughout the tournament.

Adding further excitement to the event, the ICC has planned a vibrant opening ceremony in Guwahati ahead of the first match. Renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal, who has lent her voice to the tournament’s official anthem “Bring It Home,” will headline the festivities. Her live performance aims to capture the energy, spirit, and unity of women’s cricket, setting the tone for the seven-week spectacle.

Having last hosted the Women’s World Cup in 2013, India are poised to deliver an unforgettable sporting festival. With ticket prices kept deliberately low, the ICC and local organizers are signaling their commitment to making the Women’s ODI World Cup an inclusive celebration. As anticipation builds, fans nationwide are encouraged to act swiftly and secure their seats to support their teams and witness history in the making.
