The iconic Trent Bridge in Nottingham witnessed another nerve-wracking contest in The Hundred Women 2025 as Nat Sciver-Brunt’s explosive knock guided Trent Rockets Women to a thrilling victory against Birmingham Phoenix Women. The Rockets successfully chased down 124 with three balls to spare, securing a three-wicket win in front of their home crowd.

Emma Lamb takes Birmingham Phoenix to a competitive total

Birmingham Phoenix, after opting to bat first, posted 123/6 in their allotted 100 balls. Emma Lamb played the anchor role with a composed 56 off 42 deliveries, holding the innings together. Despite regular wickets at the other end, Lamb’s fluent stroke play ensured Phoenix had a fighting total on the board.

The Rockets’ bowlers showed discipline, with spinner Kirstie Gordon leading the way. Her figures of 2/24 broke crucial partnerships and restricted the scoring rate during the middle overs. Tight bowling at the death further prevented Phoenix from crossing the 130-mark.
