Pakistan wrapped up the series with an emphatic 8-wicket victory in the third Women’s T20I against Ireland at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. Ireland posted a competitive 155/4, largely due to Orla Prendergast‘s unbeaten 64, but Pakistan responded in style. Muneeba Ali’s century, an exceptional knock of 100 not out off 68 balls, led Pakistan to victory, chasing down the target with 14 balls to spare. The chase was spearheaded by the sensational Muneeba, who crafted a match-winning century, finishing unbeaten on 100* off 68 balls. Her exceptional shot-making, blending power and precision, dismantled the Irish bowlers as she guided Pakistan toward the target with 14 balls to spare.

Ali’s remarkable innings was complemented by an equally brilliant knock from Aliya Riaz, who provided the perfect support with a swift and crucial 39*, ensuring the chase remained well within their grasp. The partnership between the two was a masterclass in T20 batting, with Riaz’s quick-fire boundaries coming at just the right moments to keep the pressure on the Irish bowlers. Together, they led Pakistan to an 8-wicket win, underlining their dominance in the match and showcasing their ability to chase down totals with ease and flair.

Orla Prendergast’s 64 propels Ireland women to respectable total

Earlier Ireland posted a competitive total of 155/4 in their allotted 20 overs, largely thanks to an impressive 64 not out from Prendergast, who anchored the innings with excellent strokeplay and adaptability. Gaby Lewis (36) and Amy Hunter (29) provided the initial momentum, but Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Fatima Sana and Rameen Shamim, kept the scoring in check, restricting the Irish to a manageable total. Sana’s 1/40 and Shamim’s 1/18 were pivotal in containing Ireland’s big hitters. Despite Ireland’s late surge, Pakistan’s response was a clinical chase. Muneeba was in a class of her own, displaying excellent timing and shot selection to bring up her century and guide her team across the line.
