The six-time World Cup winners face off against Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. With both sides fielding strong squads, the clash is expected to be a high-voltage encounter early in the competition.

Meanwhile, the highly awaited India-Pakistan showdown in the 2global event is likely to be held on October 5 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The venue has been selected as a neutral ground as part of a hybrid hosting model agreed upon by the BCCI and PCB. With their fierce history and intense rivalry, this clash is set to be one of the tournament’s standout encounters.

Knockouts to begin in October

Colombo will witness its first game on October 2, when Bangladesh squares off against Pakistan. Meanwhile, Bengaluru will host its second game on October 3 as 2022 runners-up England take on a formidable South African side. This match will conclude the first round of fixtures and is expected to have a major impact on early momentum.

The round-robin phase continues through most of October, offering fans a rich mix of blockbuster games. The final day of the group stage, October 26, promises a fitting finish with a double-header. England and New Zealand clash in Guwahati in a battle that could decide semifinal fate, while India plays its last group game against Bangladesh in front of a home crowd in Bengaluru.

The team finishing first will take on the fourth-placed side, while the second and third-ranked teams will face off in the other semifinal. The semifinals are slated for October 29 and 30, with Guwahati, Colombo, and Bengaluru all in contention to host.

The final of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is scheduled for November 2 and will take place at either Colombo or Bengaluru, depending on the qualifying teams.
