Former India captain Mithali Raj, one of the most respected figures in women’s cricket, was full of praise for the team’s performance and singled out Niki Prasad, the captain, for her exceptional leadership.
Mithali, who led India to the finals of the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cups, said, “I wasn’t following every game closely, but the selectors have chosen her as a leader, and she has successfully led our team to victory in the U-19 World Cup. This speaks volumes about her.”
She further added that Niki Prasad possesses qualities that could make her one of the future leaders of the Indian women’s cricket team.
