Fatima Sana set to lead Pakistan

In a significant development, Pakistan has appointed young fast bowler Fatima Sana as their new T20I captain, replacing the experienced Nida Dar. Sana, who has previously led the national team in two ODIs, will look to build on Pakistan’s four-match winning streak against the Proteas and gain a confidence boost before facing group-stage challenges against heavyweights like India and Australia at the World Cup. The Pakistan squad features experienced players like Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu and Omaima Sohail.

Youth and experience blend in South Africa’s squad

The Proteas have bolstered their squad by handing an international debut to 18-year-old leg-spinner Seshnie Naidu, who earned her call-up after consistent performances at the U19 level. Alongside her, the squad will rely on experienced players such as Laura Wolvaardt, Chloe Tryon and all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, who will be pivotal to South Africa’s chances in both the series and the upcoming World Cup.
