In a rain-affected third ODI at the Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont, Ireland Women registered a thrilling 3-wicket win over England Women, sealing the victory via the DLS method. England, after opting to bat, were bowled out for 153 in 20.5 overs. In response, Ireland chased down the revised target of 155 in 22 overs, driven by a sublime knock from Gaby Lewis. With the win, the hosts also avoided a clean sweep as England had already won the first two matches.

Aimee Maguire’s five-wicket haul derails England

England’s innings got off to a steady start, with Tammy Beaumont leading the charge. Her 52 off 42 balls, including 7 boundaries, set a strong platform. However, the middle-order collapse, triggered by Ireland’s Aimee Maguire, shifted the momentum. Maguire delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming 5 wickets for just 19 runs in 3.5 overs. Ireland’s disciplined bowling, with support from Freya Sargent (2/38), ensured that England was restricted to a sub-par total of 153 despite early promise.
