Australian women’s cricket team all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has shared some exciting personal news with fans, announcing her engagement to longtime partner Monica Wright.

The couple began dating in 2021, following Gardner’s previous relationship with cricketer Bridget Patterson.

On the field, Gardner is a force to be reckoned with. The right-handed batter and off-spin bowler plays for New South Wales (NSW) in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL), the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), and the Gujarat Giants (GG) in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Her cricketing prowess is undeniable. Gardner boasts an impressive record, having secured three World Cup championships and four national titles with her various teams. Her individual accolades include the prestigious Belinda Clarke Award.
Interestingly, cricket wasn’t always Gardner’s sole focus. During her childhood, she excelled in multiple sports, but ultimately, her father and brother’s love for the game rubbed off, leading her to cricketing glory.
