New Zealand are gearing up to host the Pakistan Women’s cricket team for an exciting white-ball that commences from Sunday (December 3). The multi-format tour of Pakistan will start with a three-game T20I series followed by as many ODI matches. The 50-over showdown is a crucial part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, holding significant importance for both teams.
It’s noteworthy that Pakistan enters this cricketing extravaganza on the heels of a disappointing performance against Bangladesh in their recent white-ball tour. In the three-match T20I series and as many ODIs, Pakistan managed to secure only one victory in each format, succumbing to Bangladesh, who emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline in both legs.
Meanwhile, New Zealand are coming off a less-than-stellar campaign, having lost the ODI series to South Africa. However, their T20I series against the Proteas Women ended in a draw (1-1) after three matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
With both teams looking for a resurgence, the upcoming series promises intense competition as they strive to give their all against each other.
