In a dead rubber at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Pakistan Women emerged victorious over Bangladesh Women by a margin of 31 runs.

Pakistan Innings

Put in to bat first, Pakistan set a target of 132/4 in their allotted 20 overs. Muneeba Ali was the star performer, scoring a brilliant 61 runs off 49 balls. She was well-supported by Bismah Maroof, who scored 48 runs.

Bangladesh’s bowlers put up a commendable effort, with Fariha Islam being the most successful, claiming 2 wickets for 21 runs.

Bangladesh Innings

In response, the Bangladesh’s team struggled to build partnerships and could just manage 101/9 in their stipulated overs. Shamima Sultana top-scored with 26 runs.

Pakistan bowling attack, led by Sadia Iqbal (2/19) and Aliya Riaz (2/24) maintained the pressure, resulting in a convincing victory for their side.

This win in the third match of the series allowed Pakistan to prevent Bangladesh from whitewashing them in the three-game series.

For her brilliant batting performance, Muneeba Ali was adjudged the Player of the Match.
