After recording a historic series sweep in the T20I leg, Pakistan Women would take on South Africa Women in a three-match ODI rubber, starting from Friday, September 8.
In the ODIs, Pakistan’s strength will predominantly lie in their in-form batters, including Sidra Ameen, Sadaf Shamas, Bismah Maroof, wicket-keeper Muneeba Ali, all-rounder Aliya Riaz and Nida Dar, who are expected to make significant contributions with the willow. Their bowling attack will hinge on the abilities of Fatima Sana, Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu, Ghulam Fatima and skipper Dar.
On the other hand, the Proteas side is determined to bounce back after a series of losses in the T20Is. Captain Laura Wolvaardt seeks support from seasoned campaigners such as Sune Luus and Marizanne Kapp. South Africa’s lineup boasts Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Luus, Kapp, Laura Goodall and Anneke Bosch. Meanwhile, their bowling department will look to Kapp, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Masabata Klaas and Tumi Sekhukhune to deliver crucial breakthroughs.
