Bowlers lead Warriors to final after big win over Spirit in Fairbreak Global Women’s T20 2023

In the 1st Semi-Final of the Fairbreak Global Women’s T20 2023, Warriors defeated Spirit at the Kowloon Cricket Club to book their place in the tournament’s final.

After winning the toss, Warriors Women elected to bowl first. Spirit Women struggled to score runs and lost wickets at regular intervals, eventually getting bowled out for 73 runs in 17.4 overs. Natthakan Chantham was the top scorer for Spirit Women, with 26 runs off 34 balls. For Warriors Women, Jess Kerr and Kathryn Bryce picked up three and two wickets, respectively.

Chasing a modest target of 74 runs, Warriors Women got off to a decent start but lost wickets at regular intervals. Kathryn Bryce was the standout performer with the bat, scoring a quickfire 26 off 18 balls, including two fours and a six.

However, Sophia Dunkley picked up three wickets for Spirit Women and kept the game interesting. In the end, Warriors Women managed to reach the target in 13.1 overs with four wickets in hand. Mahika Gaur was the pick of the bowlers for Spirit Women, taking two wickets for 14 runs in her four overs.
