Indian women’s team cricketer Deepti Sharma celebrated her 23rd birthday on Monday (August 24).

Deepti is a world-class player who is presently ranked fourth among the top all-rounders in the ICC rankings.

Also, Deepti is currently the third-highest individual scorer in Women ODIs. During the Women’s Quadrangular Series in 2017, she scored 188 from 160 balls against Ireland at Potchefstroom.

The official Twitter handle of BCCI women has posted a video of Deepti smashing England bowlers all around the ground as a birthday gift to her fans.

“Wishing newest Arjuna Award winner,@Deepti_Sharma06, a very happy birthday. On her special day, let’s relive her match-winning fifty against England,” tweeted BCCI women.

India’s cricket icon and arguably one of the greatest cricketers of all time, Sachin Tendulkar also wished Deepti.

“Happy birthday Deepti! Continue giving your best to the game & achieving new milestones as you move ahead,” Tendulkar wrote on Twitter.

After Tendulkar, recently retired Indian cricketer Suresh Raina sent his best regards to Deepti. He wrote: “Happy birthday @Deepti_Sharma06 lots of best wishes to you and family.”

Jhulan Goswami wished her young teammate tons of success:

Veteran women cricketer, Jhulan Goswami, didn’t miss the opportunity to wish Deepti. Jhulan wrote a heart-warming birthday post on Twitter.

“Wishing you a very happy birthday. @Deepti_Sharma06 hope his special day bring a lot happiness, fun and success for you. Enjoy!” tweeted Jhulan.

The ICC via its official Twitter handle expressed good wishes to the India women southpaw.

“No.4 all-rounder in ODIs, No.5 all-rounder in T20Is, No.6 bowler in T20Is. Happy birthday to India’s @Deepti_Sharma06,” wrote ICC.

Deepti has so far played 54 ODIs and 48 T20 internationals, in which she has accumulated 1417 and 423 runs, respectively. When it comes to bowling, Deepti has picked up 64 wickets in the 50-over format while 53 in T20Is.

Recently, the Agra-born was named among 27 sportspeople who will be conferred with the 2020 Arjuna Award.

“Now, the responsibility to perform even better has increased. I will try my best to fulfill the expectations. I am thankful to BCCI for nominating me for the prestigious award,” Deepti had said while reacting to the marvellous news.
