Indian women’s star Smriti Mandhana is highly regarded as one of the best batters in modern-day cricket. Smriti made her ODI debut in 2013 and Test debut in 2014. Her incredible run in the international arena earned her the place in the ICC Women’s Team of the Year in 2016. Smriti was the only Indian player to feature on the elite list. She is also currently ranked No. 4 in ODI batting rankings.

In 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) honoured Smriti with the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the best female cricketer of the year. She led the Indian T20 side against England in 2019 and became the youngest T20I captain for her nation.

The explosive batter has so far played 51 ODIs and 75 T20Is, accumulating 2,025 and 1,716 runs, respectively. Smriti has smashed four centuries in the 50-over format. Also, she is the fastest Indian women’s cricketer to complete 2,000 ODI runs, taking only 51 innings to achieve the glorious landmark.

On Saturday (July 18), Smriti celebrated her 24th birthday and wished poured in for her from across the world. Several cricketers and fans flooded social media to wish Smriti on the special day of her life.
