Australia’s Alyssa Healy continues to show that she is arguably one of the best wicketkeepers in the game with a sensational catch in the first T20I of the Women’s Ashes clash against England.
Healy has been in fine form with the gloves of late and continued her brilliant work on Friday at the North Sydney Oval, Sydney on Friday.
England’s opener Tammy Beaumont was at the strike as Ellyse Perry bowled the fifth over of the innings and her first.
Perry pushed the length of the ball back as she saw Beaumont coming down the track. The ball drifted away from her and ended up taking an outside edge off the bat. Healy was quick on her feet as she dived to her right and picked the ball inches off the ground.
In fact, Healy picked the ball up and finished the catch as she was lying on the ground. Perry and other Australian players went running towards the wicket-keeper as they were delighted by the one-handed blinder. Also, the commentators for Channel 9 yelled ‘absolute blinder’ reacting to Healy’s effort.
