Ellyse Perry - 4th batter to get out on 99 in  Women’s Test cricket

The Women’s Ashes 2023 began with a one-off Test on June 22 in Nottingham.

Batting first, Australia reached 328/7  at stumps on Day 1 with Ellyse Perry  being the top-scorer.

Perry was looking well set en route to  her impressive century.

The Aussie star was unfortunately dismissed on 99 falling  1 short of what could be a tremendous ton.

Perry became the fourth women cricketer to be dismissed on 99.

Former English opener Betty Snowball was the first women cricketer to be dismissed on 99. She got run out in the 3rd Test at the Oval in 1937 against Australia.
