ICC announces warm-up fixtures of Women’s T20 World Cup 2023; India to face Australia in their first match

After hosting the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, South Africa will now host the senior Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 event, in which ten nations will compete for the ultimate championship.

Before the main event, 10 warm-up matches will be played on February 6 and February 8. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the schedule for the practice games. Each team participating will play two-two warm-up matches before the actual tournament’s commencement.

Meanwhile, the main event begins on February 10 with the hosts South Africa competing against Sri Lanka in the inaugural game.

The opening warm-up match on February 6 will be played between New Zealand and West Indies, while India face Australia later on the same day. The Women in Blue will then take on Bangladesh on February 8, in their second practice game.
